You are Whole. We are Whole.
They have outlawed the circle in some places and discourage the artist’s rectangle as well in favor of a plain traditional square. I would no longer dream of putting a circle inside a circle or even begin to imagine circles continuing freely inside other circles.

No wrapping either. Or re-imagining or freeing anything from its original intended use.What hangs on the wall may soon not be allowed to hang at all. Even while writing this it is rumored essays about art may be a thing of the past.

My fear is this may never reach you. Pictures and words swallowed by automated user reviews, branded by the new haiku: Never so confident yet never more fragile.

But I have been told that even in the heat of the summer somewhere in the woods at night a cool breeze still blankets the forest floor. And at the right time of day if you stare lovingly at the shadow a windmill casts upon the grass, everything taken from you will be returned.

Look- the figure of a woman opens, expands out from her center revealing the origin of the universe. 

And look- the ingredients of the artist’s studio (strips of canvas, paint and wire) transformed by repetition are freed from names and prior associations and are pure vapors of connectivity.

This is us, colorful asterisks and airborne anchors, star windows and embodied earth tone echoes. True there will always be the “halved,” but we reader are the “halved nots.”
